Captain Alfonso Maldonado was hired by the Long Beach Fire Department in 2001, graduating from Academy Class 2001A.  He has held the ranks of Firefighter, Engineer and promoted to Captain in 2018.  He has spent the majority of his career assigned to Fire Station 10 on “A” shift.  His most recent assignments have been at Fire Station 11 and Fire Station 10.   Captain Alfonso Maldonado is also a member of the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team and is currently assigned to the Training Division as a Training Captain and the Engineer Academy Coordinator.  Captain Maldonado has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Applied Studies from Brandman University.
