Captain Richard Storey was hired in 2007 by the Long Beach Fire Department-Marine Division and graduated from Long Beach Fire Department Drill School Class 2013A.  Captain Storey serves as the Field Training Captain.  Captain Storey previously served as a Captain at Fire Station 1 and was previously assigned as a FF/PM at USAR Fire Station 6 and the Fire Station 10.  Captain Storey serves as the Long Beach Fire Department Equipment Committee Chair and is actively involved in the CICCS Committee, Incident Management Team and the Long Beach Firefighters’ Memorial Association.  Captain Storey is married to his middle school sweetheart, Mika.  They are currently raising their 2 sons, Nixon (6) and Clyde (3), in Long Beach.  Their family is following a 3rd generation tradition of working for the Long Beach Fire Department and living in the city they serve.
