Captain James Dolas was hired by the Long Beach Fire Department in 2013, graduating from Academy Class 2013A. Captain Dolas serves as the Training Captain and Academy Coordinator for LBFD. He has held the ranks of Firefighter, Firefighter/Paramedic, and promoted to Fire Captain in 2023. He has spent the majority of his career assigned to Fire Station 11 in on “C” Shift. Captain Dolas is a member of the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Team, CICCS Review Board, and LBFD Recruitment Team. Captain Dolas also serves as Vice President for the Long Beach Firefighters Association – Local 372. Captain Dolas has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Operations Management from California State University of Long Beach.
